Sharknado: The Video Game Is Swooping In
Syfy is preparing for the release of Sharknado 2: The Second One on July 30th, and in a fit of a transmedia reach, Syfy has partnered with The Asylum, Majesco, and Other Ocean to release a video game based on the property. Sharknado: The Video Game is biting into a release on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, with a launch date promised ahead of the July 30th release of the new movie.
Sharknado: The Video Game is an endless runner that boasts a number of insane features, including the ability to bounce off the backs of tiger sharks to reach raised platforms, surfing through flooded streets to avoid hammerheads, and the option to leap into the sharknado itself with a chainsaw to attack from within.
Our Take
Being honest with ourselves, it’s hard to have a great deal of faith in Sharknado: The Video Game as a truly quality product. But we can always hope that its crazy antics outweigh any other deficits to make for an amusing diversion.
