Buymetalonline Creates The Periodic Table Of (Fictional) Elements

by Harry Mackin on Jun 30, 2014 at 12:30 PM

One of the stand-by elements of fiction and sci-fi is the fictional wonder-element. Whether it is newly discovered in the story or always existed, this scientific (or not) sounding super-mineral is going to do whatever it needs to for a cool idea to be realized. Buymetalonline put together this impressively exhaustive periodic table of fictional minerals to celebrate our favorite plot devices across all sorts of mediums.

The table features fictional minerals from TV shows, movies, animated series, comic books, literature, and of course, video games. All the great classics like Star Wars’ Carbonite or Final Fantasy’s Orichalcum are faithfully represented, but don’t be surprised if you can’t name all the minerals depicted, as some get obscure.
