Dark Souls II Producer Spills Details On Spilling Blood In Lost Crowns DLC

by Wayne Stainrook on Jun 20, 2014 at 07:35 AM

In an interview with Bandai Namco, Dark Souls II producer Atsuo Yoshimora revealed some new details about the Lost Crowns Trilogy downloadable content coming for Dark Souls II. He discusses the development team's desire to bring a complete experience to fans through three separate chapters, as well as incorporating fan feedback into its work.

Not only will Lost Crowns bring new weapons and balance patches to the game, but each chapter will also include a particularly torturous path Yoshimura refers to as a challenging route. He noted that players can even get help from their friends in these routes by summoning other players who do not own the DLC themselves.

Crown of the Sunken King hits July 22, followed by Crown of the Old Iron King August 26 and Crown of the Ivory King September 24. For more, read our review of the core game and check out our impressions of Souls series' spiritual successor Bloodborne at E3 2014.
