Battlefield Hardline Beta Now Open To All PC Players

by Mike Futter on Jun 18, 2014 at 03:51 AM

Visceral Games has opened up its Battlefield Hardline beta to all interested PC players. If you haven’t yet had a chance to play and have been waiting to get in, now’s your chance.

In order to get access, head over to the official site to register. You’ll be able to start playing right away and get some beta perks, including a weapon skin, a weapon sight, “additional content,” and a dog tag for Battlefield 4. The dog tag will be available in July, and the rest of the items will be delivered alongside Battlefield Hardline on October 21.

There are also beta challenges in place that will earn you more items for completion. If you reach rank 10 on PC or PS4 during the beta, you’ll get a battlepack for Battlefield Hardline at launch. If you enable Facebook sharing, you’ll also get $1,000 in-game cash.

Our Take
It's heartening that Battlefield Hardline is getting put through its paces early enough that substantial improvements can be made based on feedback. Frostbite 3 has a lot of potential, and perhaps Battlefield Hardline will be the showcase for it that Battlefield 4 never was.
