Terraria Joins PlayStation Plus This Week

by Mike Futter on Jun 16, 2014 at 05:38 AM

With E3 beginning to fade in the rear-view mirror (and its games returning to the distant horizon), it’s time to focus on the here and now. Here’s what you can look forward to on PlayStation Plus this week.

Joining the Instant Game Collection is Terraria, a side-scrolling crafting and exploration game. The version you’ll receive access to is for PlayStation Vita, so if you like what you see in portable form, you can purchase the PS3 version later.

If you happened to miss last week’s title, you can still nab Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for both PS3 and Vita. Today is also your last day to get a number of Instant Game Collection titles. Lock in your licenses for:

  • Puppeteer
  • Surge Deluxe
  • Castle of Illusions Starring Mickey Mouse
  • Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD
  • Thomas was Alone
  • Remember Me

This is also your last week to get a number of titles. The following will rotate out of the collection when the store updates on Tuesday, June 24:

  • Limbo
  • Gravity Rush
  • Uncharted: Golden Abyss
  • Wipeout 2048

Sony is moving ahead with its housekeeping, clearing out some of the titles that have been part of the program for an extended period of time. Don’t miss out on them.

Our Take
Sony is getting ready to enact its now plan for PlayStation Plus, which includes titles being available for an entire month from start to finish. This will make it easier to predict when things are rotating out, but it also puts more pressure on fans to keep up with their collection so nothing is missed.
