The lights are on
This year saw an interesting turn in the number of attendees and exhibitors at E3. There were more attendees than last year but fewer exhibitors.
2013 saw 48,200 people attending the show. It was up by 700 this year with 48,900. However, there were only 200 exhibitors as opposed to 230 the year before.
The records for most attendees sit with 1998 and 2005 as each had 70,000 people go to the expo. E3 will be returning next summer from June 16-18.

Our TakeIt's interesting that we didn't see as many exhibitors this year, but I doubt it's anything detrimental. I suppose it could be that many are sitting out this year to tool around with the new consoles. If that's the case, we may see a resurgence of even more exhibitors come 2015.
Oh good. I was afraid that E3 wouldn't be returning next year, but now I know for sure.
When E3 comes around, I almost never decide to sit through a live stream in front of my PC. I just go to news gaming sites and go to YouTube after the day's over to see any new gameplay demos for some of my most anticipated games. I just get a bit impatient to see what I'm actually interested in when sitting through a press conference.
I don't think I would enjoy E3 very much judging by that picture. It would be amazing to see all of the new games and everything, but I REALLY don't care for trudging through dense crowds like that.
