Former God Of War Developer Joins Respawn
Stig Asmussen, known for his work with the God of War series, has joined Respawn Entertainment following his leaving Sony Santa Monica back in March.
He previously served as director of God of War III and had done work as art director and lead environmental artist as well. No word yet on what Asmussen will be working on with Respawn, but considering his previous experience in action games and the rumors of a Titanfall 2 in the works, it may be a safe bet that he’s there to help with the next iteration.
Asmussen’s departure in March coupled a number of layoffs at Sony Santa Monica as well as a cancellation of a new IP.

The God of War games are some of my favorites. I’ve been impressed with what Stig has done at Sony Santa Monica and I have no doubts that he will continue doing great work over at Respawn.
