Ubisoft Announces Duo Of Just Dance Titles

by Mike Futter on Jun 09, 2014 at 12:22 PM

Just Dance is one of Ubisoft's most important franchises. The publisher is expanding it this year, with a new mobile version, in addition to the annual installment we expected.

Just Dance 2015 will include community remixes that can be shared with other users. The scoring system in place will allow others to compete against your performance template.

Just Dance Now uses a smartphone's accelerometer (similar to a Wii Remote) to track movement. A second screen, like a tablet, PC, or smart television, is used for scoring. The mobile version will be free, with in-app purchases making songs from across the Just Dance franchise history accessible. Producer Jason Altman says that the game supports 20,000 players simultaneously.

The system works on different connections, including Wi-Fi, 3G, and 4G. Just Dance 2015 is coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Wii this fall.
