Retailer Listing For PS4/Vita Bundle Appears

by Mike Futter on Jun 04, 2014 at 10:27 AM

The long anticipated PS4/Vita bundle might be about to make an appearance. A listing for an “Ultimate Player Edition” points to a July 4 release in Europe.

Amazon France is carrying the listing includes a 500 GB PlayStation 4 and a Vita for €579.99 ($790). A standalone console carries a €399 ($543) price tag. The image carries a screenshot of Infamous: Second Son, but that could simply be a reference to the Vita’s remote play feature and not imply an included game.

We’ve reached out to Sony for comment. We’ll update should we receive a response.

Our Take
As far back as February 2013, we’ve speculated on Sony’s plans to bundle the PS4 and the Vita. With the remote play feature and the growing number of cross-play and cross-buy titles, it makes sense. An official package like this is just a matter of time.
