Limbo And Battlefield 4 Trial Join Instant Game Collection Tomorrow

by Mike Futter on May 26, 2014 at 05:59 AM

It might be Memorial Day, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to ignore this week’s PlayStation Plus games. There’s something for both PlayStation 3 and Vita owners that are part of the program are this week.

The regular Instant Game Collection title is Limbo for Vita. Playdead’s silhouetted platformer comes will be available once the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow.

Additionally, EA and Sony are giving PS3 owners a trial run on Battlefield 4. A version of the multiplayer experience will be available to download starting on May 27. This demo offers up 20 playable hours from when you first get your boots on the ground.

Today is your last day to nab Velocity Ultra for Vita. A lot of games are entering their last week, too. Be sure to lock in your licenses for Stick it to the Man, Resogun, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, Little Big Planet Karting, and the single-player portion of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

Our Take
I wasn’t a huge fan of Limbo, but I understand why people are enamored of it. The bigger news this week is that Resogun, one of the best PS4 launch titles (and not just because it was free with PS+) is leaving the service. Even if you don’t have a PS4 yet, be sure to lock this one in. It’s a must-have.
