[Update] The Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap Coming To Wii U In Europe Soon, North America TBD

by Kyle Hilliard on May 24, 2014 at 05:33 AM

Update: Though its release date is "TBD", The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap does appear on Nintendo's North American website for the Wii U with accompanying Wii U images, which you can see above.

Thanks to @WillHeroX for the tip!

Original story:

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console, but not in North America.

The game will be available on Wii U in Europe on May 29, according to a Facebook post on the official Wii U UK page. Minish Cap was given to free to early adopters of the 3DS as part of the Ambassador Program, but in the United States, that has been the only way to get the game, other than purchasing the original cartridge.

Our Take
It's always confusing when a game like Minish Cap, which is sort of available on the 3DS Virtual Console, releases in region-locked form elsewhere. It seems like a game like this should launch everywhere at once. In any case, I hope it makes its way here soon. I am big fan of Minish Cap.
