PlayStation Now Private Beta Hits PlayStation 4 On May 20
PlayStation Now, Sony's forthcoming game-streaming service, has been in private beta on PlayStation 3 since January. Starting tomorrow, May 20, this beta program is extending to PlayStation 4.
If you registered for the PlayStation 4 beta, Sony says to "keep an eye on your mailbox for a voucher code." You can still register for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 betas right here. Sony continues to add more beta testers to the program, a group that Sony says has racked up over "50,000 gameplay hours discovering new games, rediscovering favorites, and racking up Trophies." The service should offer a large library consisting of newer PlayStation 3 games like the Last of Us, and relics from the PlayStation 1 and 2 eras.

Our Take
PlayStation Now could be a great way to check out the games of yesteryear, should it work as well as it needs to. Games streaming through services such as OnLive suffer from latency issues, sometimes rendering games unplayable. We'll have to wait and see how Sony's tech performs.
