The lights are on
Rockstar continues to roll on its spring update plans with the news that next week the High Life update comes out.
The free content comes to GTA Online (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) on Tuesday May 13.
The update includes five new real estate properties (including the option to own multiple properties at once), five new vehicles (and the option to race without contact), the Bullpup Rifle, and the Mental State player stat (from passive to unhinged). Other additions include new clothes, player celebrations, and 15 new jobs.
The High Life update is part of the company's spring plans – which also includes online co-op heists.
Our Take:It's May and online co-op heists is the last domino to fall even though spring is almost up. Rockstar could release the feature quickly off the back of the High Life update, but I don't see Rockstar rushing this important feature.

Yeaaaaa...not interested. Just hoping for a next-gen version announcement sometime this year.
Still not enough of a reason to get back into GTA Online, but I do like the option of owning more than one property.
I just wanted to say I appreciate you putting "Still no co-op online heists" as the first line for this article on the main page. That's the main thing I've been waiting for and I care little for anything else in the multiplayer, so thank you for quickly answering my only question about this update.
Release the game for PC already!
4 new vehicles, but i like where your head's at!
Still no heists? Still no Smiley. About time they let you own more than one property though. For one of every car you need multiple garages; last time I played you could only get the one free garage plus the one in your house.
I'm actually really impressed with R*. I personally found GTAO to be a combination of boring and frustrating, but the fact that they are still adding non-trivial post-launch support at this point (when I'm pretty sure most GTA players have left GTAO) speaks volumes about their loyalty to their customers and them standing by their product (with the sizable exception of the promised co-op heists, of course).
Still no online co-op heists? I'm glad I sold my copy earlier this year.
Finally!
I've been expecting this since the day i first heard about it!
The thing I'm honestly most excited for in this update is no-contact racing because I'm tired of races that don't come down to who's the best, but who can drive the most aggressively.
Just waiting on heists. Haven't played GTA:O in weeks because it's always the same 2-3 missions everyone does.
Sorry Rockstar, not coming back until heists.
been done with gta for a while now. single player was amazing. didn't like gta:o at all. if they did something with the single player i'd maybe come back, but i couldn't care less about online.
Co-op heists will be coming by May 27. If they're not out by then, they might as well save the effort, because Watch Dogs is going to devastate GTAO without a damn good reason to stick around.
I just want information on single player DLC. I'm holding on to my copy of GTAV, but I haven't played it in months. I need a reason to keep holding on to it.
Still no heists?
Still not interested Rockstar. Give the players what will keep them around first, then add all the extra free content packs.
Like I predicted, Heist will come at the ass end of June.
