Nintendo Reconfirms Four Major Titles For 2014

by Mike Futter on May 07, 2014 at 03:35 PM

Nintendo is currently holding a press briefing following its year-end financial results. As part of that conference, the company has reconfirmed four titles for release this year.

The company still expects to release Super Smash Bros. on Wii U in "winter 2014." Additionally, Monolith Software's game (known informally as "X"), Bayonetta 2, and Hyrule Warriors (name still not final) are on tap for 2014.

Yarn Yoshi, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, and a Legend of Zelda title for Wii U are all still listed as "TBD."

Our Take
Nintendo's promise of Monolith's game for this year is ambitious. I'm skeptical, as the title doesn't yet have a name, nor has it been playable. Perhaps E3 will change both.
