Nintendo Announces Pokémon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire For 3DS

by Kyle Hilliard on May 07, 2014 at 04:15 AM

Nintendo is bringing remakes of the Game Boy Advance Pokémon titles Ruby and Sapphire to 3DS this year.

Much like Pokémon X & Y, Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire will release worldwide November of this year. Nintendo hasn't offered too many details about the game, other than this from a press release announcing the game.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are a fresh take on Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, which launched in 2003 and were fan-favorite hits on the Game Boy Advance system. The new titles promise to take players through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world.

You can check out the teaser trailer for the games below.

Our Take
This is pretty exciting news, and surprising as I figured the next Pokémon game announced would be something along the lines of Pokémon Z to follow up X & Y. This is especially good to hear after all the bad news Nintendo had to announce this morning.
