Your Tales From The Borderlands Loot Can Be Used In Other Games

by Mike Futter on May 05, 2014 at 06:19 AM

In addition to five new screenshots this morning, we’ve got an exciting detail about Tales from the Borderlands. Borderlands and its sequel are filled with loot. Apparently, Telltale is bringing that series staple to its more narratively driven Pandora adventure.

We don’t have details yet, but the PlayStation Blog suggests that any loot you acquire in Tales from the Borderlands will have a life outside of that game. No details are available yet about how this might work, but if you’ll recall, Borderlands 2 has a nifty way of bringing outside content in via SHIFT codes.

Our Take
SHIFT codes would be the smartest way to move loot from Tales from the Borderlands to other versions. Additionally, if Telltale and Gearbox are generous and crafty, they might find a way to let you move those guns and gear to other systems. SHIFT codes are different on each system, but Tales could generate three different options… if the platform holders play ball.
