Ed Fries And Jordan Weisman To Speak At MomoCon

by Mike Futter on Apr 28, 2014 at 03:24 PM

MomoCon might be a lesser known gaming convention, but it’s attracting some interesting speakers this year. Xbox co-founder Ed Fries, Shadowrun and MechWarrior creator Jordan Weisman, and thatgamecompany art director Ke “Jacky” Jiang will all be in attendance.

MomoCon will take place in Atlanta, Georgia from May 23 through 25. In addition to talks from Fries, Weisman, and Jiang, a number of developers and publishes will be in attendance.

Riot will host League of Legends tournaments and hold panels on a number of topics, including animation. Hi-Rez studios will be on hand for Smite demos and a panel. Sega will be in attendance to discuss the past, present, and future of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Courtnee Draper (Elizabeth in BioShock Infinite), Troy Baker (Booker in BioShock Infinite, Joel in The Last of Us), and Ashley Johnson (Ellie in The Last of Us) will also be in attendance. Momocon typically hosts approximately 15,000 attendees. For more information and tickets, you can visit the official site.

Our Take
There is a good mix of guests, including voice actors involved with two of 2013’s best games. If you have an interest in the history of gaming both Ed Fries and Jordan Weisman have a lot to offer.
