Actor Todd Stashwick No Longer Involved With Uncharted 4

by Mike Futter on Apr 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM

If you saw the Uncharted teaser that premiered at the PlayStation 4 launch event, you heard the voice of actor Todd Stashwick. We recently reported that he was joining former Naughty Dog writer and Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig at Visceral Games to work on that studio’s Star Wars project.

In the wake of that move, Naughty Dog has decided to recast Stashwick’s role in the upcoming fourth installment of the Uncharted series. The actor has confirmed the news with IGN. Because so little has been shared about Uncharted, we don’t know how much of an impact this has.

In addition to Amy Hennig’s departure, The Last of Us lead artist Nate Wells and Uncharted director Justin Richmond have also left.

Our Take
Naughty Dog seems to be in a state of upheaval, and while the studio has asserted that the Uncharted 4 timeline is unaffected (at least as recently as Richmond’s departure), it’s hard to believe that the game will be ready in 2014. We’ll likely know more at E3.
