Dragon Age Inquisition Box Art Has A Hidden Dragon

by Mike Futter on Apr 21, 2014 at 10:07 AM

We’re inching closer to the release of Dragon Age Inquisition, and today brings a new piece of art. It just so happens that this the piece that will adorn the front of every copy of the game.

The announcement also included the tagline, “They say only the Inquisitor has the power to stop it…” Be sure to also note the image of the dragon created in the negative space above the Inquisitor (scroll down if you can't see it).

Hopefully this means we’re getting close to news of a release date. Dragon Age: Inquisition will be out this fall for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Still can't find the hidden dragon? This should help.

Our Take
In a follow-up note, BioWare said that it purposely designed the cover art of the Inquisitor to be gender neutral. Since players can take on the role of a male or female lead, this egalitarian approach to the cover art allows players to start up without any preconceived notions of what the hero (or villain) looks like.
