Splinter Cell Comic Book Series On The Way

by Kyle Hilliard on Apr 18, 2014 at 09:32 AM

Meant to bridge the gap between Splinter Cell: Convinction and the recent Splinter Cell: Blacklist, a comic book series covering the exploits of Sam Fisher is coming soon.

The series, subtitled Echoes, is being written by Nathan Edmondson who has a history with Marvel's Black Widow and The Punisher series with art by Marc Laming. Speaking about the series, Edmondson says the story will be standalone, accessible to those who haven't played the Splinter Cell games. The series will be published by Dynamite Entertainment and is launching this summer.

Our Take
The Splinter Cell games have always had pretty strong stories. The series certainly seems like it could translate well to a full comic. Maybe it will also explain why Fisher's voice changed so much between Conviction and Blacklist...
