The Penny Arcade Expo has added another location to its expanding list of venues. This January, the show will be heading to Texas for PAX South.

A venue hasn't been officially announced yet, but PAX South will take place in San Antonia, Texas between January 23-25. PAX South joins PAX East (which is happening right now), PAX Prime, and PAX Australia. In a press release for the announcement, Penny Arcade president Robert Khoo said, "We've been hearing for years that those in the south had a tough time making it to the northern corners of the country; PAX South has always been a matter of 'when' rather than 'if'."

Our Take
This is great news for video game culture fans in the southern United States. Both United States PAX shows, until now, have been relegated to the north. Now all we need is a midwest PAX, one preferably really close to Game Informer's offices.
