[Update] Zelda: Ocarina Of Time's Kokiri Forest Gets The Oculus Rift Treatment

by Kyle Hilliard on Apr 03, 2014 at 04:00 PM

Update: The creators of the Oculus Rift Ocarina of Time mod have now recreated the entire game in virtual 3D.

Chadtronic has posted a new video to his YouTube channel, which shows off a more complete version of the Ocarina of Time Oculus Rift adaptation – and also demonstrates a first-person mode. It's pretty cool.

[Original Story]

Last week, we saw a mod that placed Oculus Rift users in the original NES version The Legend of Zelda. Recently, someone modified a small segment Ocarina of Time to do the same.

The video, which you can see below, comes from YouTube user Chadtronic, but the mod itself was put together by DarkAkuma. You can download the mod here if you have an Oculus Rift.

The mod is a "walk-around demo" recreation of Kokiri Forest. It doesn't have any of the characters or playable mechanics of Ocarina of Time's opening location, but you can take a look around and take in the sights.
