by Kyle Hilliard on Mar 29, 2014 at 06:38 AM

Creative Assembly's Alien: Isolation has a release date, and it's launching in October.

Alien: Isolation's official twitter account announced the date, which will be October 7 of this year. The game is planned for release on Xbox One and 360, and PlayStation 4 and 3, as well as PC.

In Alien: Isolation, players try to outsmart a single, alien A.I. as the daughter of Ellen Ripley. The alien changes and moves dynamically with the environment and in response to the players' actions. For more on Alien: Isolation, check out our extended preview.

Our Take
October is a good window for a game you're excited about. It's right ahead of the video game release insanity of November. Hopefully, Alien: Isolation will be a game that was worth getting excited about.
