Respawn Details Titanfall Anti-Cheat Measures

by Mike Futter on Mar 26, 2014 at 09:34 AM

We have some good news. If you are a Titanfall cheater, you can keep playing the game even after you are caught. Yes, this is good news for honest players, too.

Respawn has announced that its FairFight system will be used to segregate cheaters into their own pool. Under the program, which started on Friday, March 21, anyone caught using aimbots or other hacks will only be able to play against other cheaters.

“Hopefully the aimbot cheat you paid for really is the best, or these all-cheater matches could be frustrating for you,” Respawn writes. “Good luck.”

Players that aren’t flagged can still play with their friends, but the entire party will be relegated to the banned pool temporarily. But hey, at least you get to keep playing, right?

Our Take
This solution prevents anyone from complaining that Respawn has destroyed their $60 game purchase. Don’t worry, though. If you think you’ve been improperly banned, there is an appeal process. Just don’t expect to lie your way out of a jam. The data doesn’t lie.
