The lights are on
According to the Hollywood Reporter, director Doug Liman is close to signing a deal to direct the film adaptation of Ubisoft's popular stealth franchise.
The Hollywood Reporter filed a story that said Liman was in "final negotiations" to direct the Splinter Cell film. Liman's previous work includes The Bourne Identity, Swingers, and Go.
New Regency is developing the film, and word has it that Tom Hardy (who played Bane in The Dark Knight Rises) has been cast as series hero Sam Fisher.
