Final Fantasy X HD Opening Cinematic Released

by Isaac Federspiel on Mar 13, 2014 at 02:39 PM

In anticipation for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD’s rapidly approaching release, Square-Enix has released the opening cinematic for Final Fantasy X, remastered in HD. The cinemeatic, titled The Fall of a Great City, features of one the Final Fantasy’s more memorable songs that is much heavier in contrast to other tracks in the series.

The opening depicts a game of Blitzball, a popular sport in FFX, being played in the city of Zanarkand. The struggle of who will win or lose the Blitzball match becomes significantly less important when the city comes under attack from the game’s antagonist, Sin.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD is set to release on March 18 for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. If you’re curious about the game, check out our review or the Test Chamber we did for it.
