Telltale is offering a free download for the song that appears during the end credits of the most recent episode of The Walking Dead.

The song, "In the Pines" can be downloaded here. The song was arranged by Telltale composer Jared Emerson-Johnson, with vocals from Janel Drewis, who also works as an animator for Telltale. "In the Pines" is a traditional folk song also known as "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" It was popularized by the American folk performer Lead Belly and bluegrass musician Bill Monroe in the 1940s, and was famously covered by Nirvana on the band's MTV Unplugged in New York album.

Our Take
I am enjoying this trend of developers releasing music from their games online. Blizzard recently released a track from the upcoming Diablo III expansion soundtrack. It's a simple, but effective way to both promote a game and also give players access to an especially memorable aspect of the game.
