The lights are on
Q-Games announced a few new tidbits of information regarding the upcoming PixelJunk Inc. and PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate games. The biggest news is that PixelJunk Inc. is now known as Nom Nom Galaxy.
Q-Games said in a press release that they wanted a name that “captures the spacey deliciousness of the game.” A reveal trailer also showed off the different elements of the game and we also got the fact that it will be hitting Early Access on Steam on March 13.
Nom Nom Galaxy is currently in development on PC and will be distributed through Steam with a tentative release of 2014. A Mac and Linux version are also in the works, but will be releasing later. PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate, a remake of PixelJunk Shooter 1 and 2, will be playable at Q-Games’ booth at Bitsummit, an indie developer conference, for the first time.
PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate is set to release in summer 2014, and is being developed by Double Eleven. BitSummit 2014 is being held from March 7-9 at the Kyoto International Exhibition Hall in Japan.
Our TakeThe new name is pretty bizarre, but judging by the trailer Q-Games released, the developers are embracing that. Q-Games has a solid record of releasing good games, so if you're a fan of indie titles, you should put both of these on your radar.
