You Can Use The Konami Code In Bravely Default

by Cameron Koch on Feb 27, 2014 at 11:28 AM

Players who finish Bravely Default are treated to a teaser movie for the game's sequel, Bravely Second, but there is another way to view the secret trailer without having to finish the game. The Konami code pops up in the darndest places.

The well known code (up,up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A) if input on the main menu of the the game unlocks the "special movie" option on the main menu. Be warned, the movie does contain some mild spoilers about the fate of one of the game's characters, so if you have yet to finish Bravely Default you might want to hold back on trying out this easter egg for yourself.

You can watch Youtube user Shmiam above to see how it's done. Be sure to check out our review of the old school JRPG here

Our Take
It's always fun when developers include easter eggs in games for dedicated and curious players, and using the Konami Code, even for non-Konami games, is at this point a well established tradition.
