Nintendo Offering Free Pokémon X Or Y If You Register A 3DS And Select Game
If you've recently purchased a 3DS or plan to purchase a one in the immediate future, you might want to hold off on registering the handheld. Nintendo is running a promotion in March that could net you a free copy of Pokémon X or Y.
To get a download voucher for the game, you need to register your 3DS, 3DS XL, or 2DS and one of six specific games between March 1-31. The eligible titles are Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins, and the upcoming Yoshi's New Island. Once you do that, you're set.
Our Take
It's hard to imagine there are that many people on the 3DS fence at this point, but this is still a great promotion. The majority of the required titles are top-notch on their own, and the added Pokémon bonus makes it even that much more enticing.
