Starbound Developers Move Into New Office, Promise More Frequent Updates

by Kyle Hilliard on Feb 23, 2014 at 05:55 AM

In a recent update on Starbound developer Chucklefish's website, the studio announced it had moved into a new space and, "The pace is really going to pick up," in terms of development.

Along with getting the keys to the new location, the studio also finished the immigration paperwork to bring all the members of Chucklefish under one roof on who were relocating from outside the UK. The big news from the new office space, however, is Chucklefish's promise of more frequent updates. The studio can now separate engine and content updates – something it previously had to release simultaneously. One update will no longer have to wait for the other to release. They can just go out when they're ready. Having everyone together in one location will also just speed up the creative process in general.

You can check out the full update and all the details on Starbound's website. For more on Starbound, check out an extensive preview on the game by heading here.

Our Take
This is great news for Starbound players, and even better news for Chucklefish. Moving everyone into an office space marks a new level of success for the developer. It has gone from small team making a successful product, to something much bigger. The future seems very bright for Starbound.
