Kiefer Sutherland Confirms Involvement In Mortal Kombat Game

by Kyle Hilliard on Feb 22, 2014 at 06:13 AM

In a recent interview with 24 star Kiefer Sutherland discussing his portrayal of Big Boss in the new Metal Gear Solid, he let slip that he recently finished work on a Mortal Kombat game.

Speaking with IGN, Sutherland brought up his work on Mortal Kombat as a comparison to his work on Metal Gear Solid V. Sutherland said, “I did Mortal Kombat, and that's such a huge game, but it’s so not like [MGS5]." Sutherland did not specify what role he is playing in Mortal Kombat, but he did say that the work was much faster compared to Metal Gear Solid V.

Kiefer Sutherland will be playing the role of Big Boss in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V, which we have been covering all month. You can find all of our coverage by clicking the banner below.

It's only slightly related, but below you will find a recent episode of Replay where we played 24: The Game, which of course stars Kiefer Sutherland.

Our Take
I don't get the sense that Sutherland is a fan of playing video games, but he must have had a good experience with Metal Gear Solid if he has decided to pursue more video game projects. It's also pretty exciting to learn that there is something new in the works for Mortal Kombat.
