Reader Discussion: Has A Demo Or Beta Ever Changed Your Mind?
If you're anything like us, you spent some time this weekend playing the Titanfall beta, which Respawn opened up on Xbox One and PC (and recently extended). Giving gamers a chance to play a demo or beta is important for publishers; sometimes, it is just a way to get the game into excited fans' hands sooner, but it can also help push uncertain gamers off the fence one way or another.
That brings us to the topic of discussion: Have you ever changed your mind about a game after getting some pre-release playtime? Maybe you were excited for a particular title, but a bad beta experience made you wary. Or maybe a fun demo put a game on your radar that you hadn't been interested in before.
