The lights are on
We've seen plenty of high-quality realistic takes on Pokémon, but science-fiction artist renditions are rare.
The piece was drawn by ChasingArtwork on DeviantArt. Most of their work involves the roboticizing of known franchises. You can see more of ChasingArtwork's work on their Facebook page here.
We recently spoke with Pokémon's producer Junichi Masuda about the series and the recently released Pokémon X & Y. You can check out that Afterwords interview here.

Whoa.... that looks awesome.
I think they may be on to something here...
I've always been a Squirtle guy since I first played Red, and in general more of a Grass-type starter guy as I got older, but that Charmander design is easily the best.
This would be an incredibly interesting twist to a future Pokemon game.
The Squirtle's face reminds me of Clank.
This looks awesome. Really diggin it. Charmander has to be my favorite, followed by Squirtle and Bulbasor. All look great though.
Honestly, these don't appeal to me very much. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be Charmander. His tail kinda reminds me of Kiryu (or Mechagodzilla 3, or whatever you wanna call it), I guess.
I am now, better than the very best that ever was.
This guy's work is one of my favorites. I really like his robo-superheroes too.
I prefer these to those realistic drawings. They still give me nightmares.
charmander is a badass
I chose you charamander.
Anything other than Squirtle is the wrong answer.
In regular Pokémon, I would say Squirtle. But Charmander is so darn awesome here.
