CD Projekt RED's upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the biggest and most promising RPGs coming to new-gen systems this year. If you haven't played the previous installments of the series, now's your chance to check them out for free.

Steam users have until Sunday, 1:00PM PST to play The Witcher Enhanced Edition and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings to their heart's content. Granted, you probably couldn't get through one of the massive RPGs in a single weekend, let alone both, but it should give you a good idea of the series' world and gameplay.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently scheduled to release sometime in 2014 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more on the game, check out our list of promising improvements coming to the sequel, or click the banner below to visit our Witcher 3 hub.

Our Take
CD Projekt RED has stayed pretty tightlipped about The Witcher 3, and as such it seems to have fallen off the radar of many gamers. Given its ambitious scope and the fact that it's only coming to new-gen systems, I'm guessing it's going to take a lot of players by surprise when it finally gets here.
