Far Cry Classic Confirmed For North American Release On February 11
While Far Cry Classic was already a lock for other parts of the world, Ubisoft demurred on a North American release. Today we not only have confirmation of its arrival on our shores, but a release date that’s right around the corner.
Far Cry Classic, which is an update to the original title in the series, will be out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 11. The title comes with updated visuals, new cutscenes, and an improved user interface.
The title will be available for $9.99. If you’re interested in rounding out your Far Cry collection, a bundle of the remaining titles (Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, and Blood Dragon) will also be released on February 11 for $39.99.
Our Take
As someone who enjoyed Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon but never played the previous titles, I’m interested to see where the series began. $9.99 seems a fair price for a 2004 title that has been given a fresh coat of polish.
