Update #2: A number of readers have reported that Microsoft has found a workaround to the current The Wolf Among Us season pass problem. Codes are being sent out to season pass holders that allow them to download the second episode at no charge.
Update #1: Microsoft has responded to our request for comment on the problems facing The Wolf Among Us (and reportedly other titles with DLC).
“Some Xbox Live members may be experiencing temporary service issues with downloading season two of ‘The Wolf Among Us,’” A Microsoft representative told Game Informer via email. “Our engineering teams are working to fix the problem. In the meantime, our apologies for the interruption.”

Those trying to download and play the second episode of Telltale’s The Wolf Among Us are running into some problems. The good news is that Telltale is aware of it. The bad news is that it seems to be a more widespread Xbox Live problem.
Telltale has posted a note on its support forums detailing the issue. “We are aware of the issue on XBOX Live Marketplace affecting Season Pass owners of The Wolf Among Us where the user is still prompted to purchase Episode 2 even though they own the Season Pass,” a Telltale representative writes. “There appears to be an issue on XBOX Live affecting multiple titles with DLC offerings and Microsoft is actively working to resolve the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and are hopeful it will be resolved soon.”
We’ve reached out to Microsoft to find out more about the problem and how long the company estimates a fix will take to implement. We’ll update when we know more. For now, read up on the second episode, Smoke and Mirrors, in our review.
