No Multiplayer For The Order: 1886

by Matthew Kato on Feb 06, 2014 at 05:44 AM

The Order: 1886 developer Ready at Dawn has confirmed that the late 2014 PlayStation 4 title will be single-player only.

When we did the cover story on the game back in the fall of last year, developers at Ready at Dawn hadn't made a decision on whether to include multiplayer. "At the end of the day, we want to do right by the IP first," Wu Weerasuriya, the game's creative director, told us when discussing the topic.

Confirmation comes from an interview Weerasuriya did with German website play3.de, where Weerasuriya describes the game as a "single-player action game." Later, Ready at Dawn founder Andrea Pessino confirmed the info in a tweet.

Our Take:
We have no problem with a developer making a decision like this in the best interest of the game as a whole.
