The lights are on
Update: And just like that, the IMDB page has disappeared. Depending on your personal penchant for conspiracy theories, you might take this as confirmation of the information of verification of the details as a hoax. Until Bethesda is good and ready though, we won't know for sure.

Bethesda has been mum on its next single-player, open-world game, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating. A listing on the Internet Movie Database (which also lists video games) points to an alleged name, cast, and release window for the next Fallout title, though. We’re extremely skeptical given the number of Fallout hoaxes there have been, and suggest that this be taken only as a curiosity.
The IMDB listing for Fallout: Shadows of Boston (which was last updated on February 1, 2014) starts out reasonable enough, listing series’ narrator Ron Perlman in a returning role (war never changes, after all). Erik Dellums, who teased his return as DJ Three Dog, is also listed.
The cast also allegedly includes Paul Eiding (Metal Gear Solid), Peter Gil (Fallout 3), and Jeff Baker (Skyrim, Fallout 3). Then, things start to get a little weird. Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario, is apparently attached to the project. The listing also includes Obsidian’s Chris Avellone and 2K Games’ Erik Caponi in the writing credits.
Most curiously, the game is allegedly slated for a 2017 release, which seems extremely far-fetched given that there are voice actors supposedly attached. Did we mention that Charles Martinet is on that list?
Bethesda doesn’t comment on rumors or speculation, as vice president of public relations and marketing Pete Hines has reiterated on numerous occasions. Still, we’ve reached out to him with this one just in case.
Our TakeThis is almost certainly a hoax seeded with just enough truth to attract overzealous fans. Still, we’d love to see (and hear) Charles Martinet in a Fallout role.
