You won't have to use Ubisoft's digital game management software Uplay to play South Park: The Stick of Truth.

Obsidian's official Twitter account dropped the new in answering a fan who had asked if they would have to use the Uplay client to play the game if they preordered it on Steam. Obsidian tweeted in response: "No, Uplay Will not be featured in SP: SOT."

Our Take
It's good to see that Ubisoft won't be requiring uPlay to run in order to play South Park - customers generally don't appreciate having to run a client (or at least a client that's not Steam)
