The lights are on
High-end video game peripherals are big business. Are there any that you insist on using?
For console gamers, the standard controller tends to be the best option, but that hasn't prevented companies from trying to make their own. Fight sticks for fighting games and flight sticks for flight games are popular, as well as fancy headsets for online communication in the age of online multiplayer.
PC gamers have even more options with fancy keyboards and high-precision weighted mice. Then there are things that don't necessarily plug into your gaming setup that still fall under the umbrella of gaming peripherals like Gunnar glasses.
I have a nice mouse that I use for both work and gaming, and I also really like the thumbpads that you can add to controller control sticks to raise them a little higher. I don't know if the latter actually makes me a better gamer, but it does make it feel a little better in my hand. What about you? Are there any premium gaming peripherals that you like to use?

Nope. I'm a man primarily of the basics.
I just use a controller. I don't like any peripherals.
I often use Kontrol Freeks for the Xbox 360 and a nice Diablo mouse with 4 extra buttons for the computer.
I have a Leap Motion. It's cool but I don't use it that much.
I got the Injustice Fight Stick! Love that thing!
It's uDraw or nothing for me.
I has been a while, but when I was knee deep in Diablo 2 and WoW I used a peripheral called a Nostromo. It let me access my skills more easily and made picking up items off of the dungeon floor much easier. I haven't really forked out any money for a nice peripherals since then. However, historically, the joystick for the Nintendo was pretty awesome with its huge buttons and the ability to customize how fast your turbo buttons fired.
My Borderlands 2 Gaming Mouse for PC and a good D-Pad for Consoles.
I guess I used the Guitar Hero peripheral back when I played that game. It was kind of fun I guess but I can see why that franchise guttered, I only played GH3 and I got bored of it pretty quickly. That Rocksmith looks kind of cool though, seems like a good way to learn new songs.
As for any other games, never seen the need for any of that. The standard controller has served me well for most console game I've played so far (the ones that controlled alright in the first place atleast). As for PC, the mouse mat you use is more important than the mouse, if you've got a crappy mouse mat that doesn't grip or have a wrist rest then it doesn't matter what high-tech supermouse you've got. As for the keyboard, I really can't see there being anything you could do to make it any different of better.
Logitech G15 keyboard (will be upgraded soon enough, just as long as it still has the same button count on the side.)
Steel Series WoW Cataclysm mouse.
For my consoles;
Logitech GT Racing wheel (for gran toursimo 5/6)
Rock band/Guitar Hero guitars.
Rock Band keyboard.
Guitar Hero drums.
(the games may be done, but the drunken parties are still quite entertaining).
Haven't used any since Guitar Hero years ago.
I like getting new colors of controllers for my console, but that's about it. I'm thinking about getting a new keyboard for my new PC.
I always wanted that Steel Battalion station. I thought it looked amazing. Never did have the money for it as a kid. I wouldn't mind trying out the Oculus Rift.
I have a fightstick with my profile pic on it.
My chair helps me simulate being Johnny Quest in his gaming chair.
Razer all the way. Black Widow kb, Taipan mouse, and three different mouse mats.
High-end? Umm...does my Turtle Beach headset count? Besides that, I keep having to order more 3DS styli because I keep destroying mine.
