[Update] Civilization V Complete Edition Out Today, XCOM Complete Coming In March

Both Civilization V and XCOM have had some expansions and DLC release since their initial releases, and now it appears that 2K Games is collecting them together to produce PC-exclusive definitive editions of both titles.

According to Take-Two's 3rd Quarter financial release, the two titles from Firaxis are on the way almost immediately. The complete version Civilization V is slated to release tomorrow, February 4, while XCOM's new edition hits on March 4.

Civilization V: The Complete Edition is priced at $49.99 and will also be available at retail on February 7. Included in the bundle is the base game and all DLC:

  • Civilization Pack: Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar II);
  • Cradle of Civilization – Americas Map;
  • Cradle of Civilization – Asia Map;
  • Cradle of Civilization – Mediterranean Map;
  • Cradle of Civilization – Mesopotamia Map;
  • Double Civilization and Scenario Pack: Spain and Inca;
  • Explorer’s Map Pack;
  • Civilization and Scenario Pack: Polynesia;
  • Civilization and Scenario Pack: Denmark – The Vikings;
  • Civilization and Scenario Pack: Korea;
  • Wonders of the Ancient World Scenario Pack;
  • Scrambled Continents Map Pack;
  • Scrambled Nations Map Pack.

Details on the XCOM: Complete Edition, including price and a list of contents, have not yet been disclosed.

Our Take
These are two great core games with plenty of great expanded content. Assuming the price is right, these complete editions should be a great way for fans to catch up on what they missed, or for newcomers to see what all the hype is about.
