[Update] Remember Me Developer Denies Bankruptcy
Update: Dontnod CEO Oskar Guilbert has denied reports of the company's bankruptcy. He also says the company is in negotiations with a "big partner" for a new game.
GamesIndustry interviewed Guilbert today following the reports, during which the CEO indicates that the judicial reorganization is not because of financial problems. "There is no bankruptcy," he told the outlet. Redressment judiciary is part of French bankruptcy law as an observation phase that could lead to sale of the company, continued operations, or liquidation. Guilbert tells GamesIndustry that the reorganization was necessary because the company needed new investment needs and "resizing."

News has emerged from French outlets that Remember Me developer Dontnod has filed for bankruptcy. The 2013 Capcom-published title was the publisher’s first.
The news has been reported by French business outlet Societe and French game outlet Factor News. Records indicate that the company entered “redressement judiciaire,” which is a form of receivership in that country, on January 28.
Remember Me will be featured as part of February's PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection in North America. We’ve reached out to Dontnod for comment. For more on Remember Me, you can read our review.

Remember Me’s divisive nature wasn’t a strong start for the Paris-based studio, but a collapse like this is unfortunate nonetheless. Remember Me has its fans, and it’s positioned to earn some new ones here in North America once it becomes available for PlayStation Plus members. It’s a shame that Dontnod ran out of time before this last push.
