February Games With Gold Features Zombies And Toys

by Mike Futter on Jan 31, 2014 at 05:24 AM

Microsoft has announced the two titles to be offered at no additional charge to Xbox Live Gold members. The offerings include the undead and tiny toys.

From February 1 through 15, Deep Silver’s Dead Island will be available for Xbox Live Gold members to download. The second half of the month will feature Signal Studios’ Toy Soldiers: Cold War.

Once downloaded, Xbox Games with Gold are yours even if you cancel your subscription. As a reminder, this is your last day to download Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

Our Take
If you’re going to play Dead Island (and you should if you haven’t), I strongly suggest the mobile map app. It was one of the first second-screen experiences and a great way to track collectibles.

Toy Soldiers: Cold War is an extremely amusing RTS that moves the series from a World War I setting to the '80s. I can’t vouch for the upcoming Rambo game, but playing as the bandana-wearing bada** is a lot of fun here.
