by Kimberley Wallace on Jan 28, 2014 at 09:22 AM

Nearly 10 years after World of Warcraft's release, Blizzard is putting its impact into perspective with some revealing stats and numbers.

After having 100 million visitors to Azeroth, Blizzard wants to provide a glimpse into what people have been doing in the world and how popular the MMORPG is across nations. To do this, Blizzard posted a recent blog with interesting stats. For instance, 244 countries and territories play the game, and more people have created WoW characters than the entire U.S. population. The details are eye-opening and something that fans and newcomers alike can enjoy, like revealing which pets are the rarest and most common, along with how many people have joined the Alliance versus the Horde.

You can check out the extensive list here at Blizzard's blog, or click here to see the full infographic.
