Weekend Warrior 01/24/2014

by Ben Reeves on Jan 24, 2014 at 01:00 PM

The brutal fist of Father Winter doesn't seem to let up, so we're all prepped to hunker down in our entertainment caves and play some games this weekend. What about you?

Mike Futter: I’ll be playing some heavily modded Skyrim this weekend. I also plan to jump back into League of Legends and Hearthstone. Also, Jeff Cork might get his way, as I’ve been strongly considering playing Dead Rising 2 finally.

Tim Turi: This weekend is the first few days I’ll have to myself after heavily researching a specific franchise for a magazine story. With that behind me, I feel like it’s time to jump back into my PlayStation 4 and maybe finally unbox my Xbox One. I hope to play some Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer, hop into Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and maybe check out Nidhogg.

Andrew Reiner: I'm finishing up Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on Xbox One (no, I'm not reviewing it), and also diving deep into Dead Rising 3. When I'm on the go, I'm playing Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on Vita. Yes, you read that correctly. I'm playing a Sonic racing game on Vita.

Jeff Marchiafava: I put a ridiculous amount of hours into a review game last weekend, so this weekend I plan to relax with some stress-free gaming. At the top of that list is Starbound, a game that has been monopolizing my free time. I think I might also return to the pirate’s life with AC IV, and play a little Zen Pinball 2 to boot.

Kyle Hilliard: I have been slowly creeping through Batman: Arkham Origins since release, periodically putting it down to play other games and returning to it. I think this weekend I am going to make a concerted effort to complete it. Based on the number of assassins I have defeated and collectibles I have collected, I think I have finished about 70% of the game. One more long session should afford me the chance to finish it up. Otherwise I will be catching up on Community and Shameless and hanging out with the family.

Ben Hanson: This weekend I plan to finally play through Broken Age on my Mac. Outside of that, I've been meaning to play Nidhogg. The year has just begun and I'm already behind on my required gaming list.
