Fable Trilogy Bundle Coming To Xbox 360

by Matt Bertz on Jan 17, 2014 at 12:23 PM

Fable: Anniversary won't be the only chance gamers have to revisit Albion in the near future. Microsoft also has plans to release a bundle of the trilogy.

GameSpot spotted the product listing on Xbox.com, which Microsoft then confirmed with this statement from a spokesman: "The Fable Trilogy bundle in the Xbox Marketplace is real and in development. The bundle will include full Xbox 360 titles for Fable Anniversary, Fable II, and Fable III. We're excited to share official details regarding the release soon on Lionhead.com."

This bundle includes Fable: Anniversary – the pending remake of the first game – plus Fable II and III. The product listing says it will release on February 4, the same day as Fable: Anniversary, though this isn't confirmed.

Our Take:
Competitively priced bundles are a great way to leverage content that is otherwise sitting on the shelf, and when done right can reinvigorate consumer passion for a series. After Fable III review scores took a slide compared to its predecessors and most gamers were turned off by the Kinect-driven Fable: The Journey, this is a good time for Microsoft to rekindle interest in the brand with Fable: Legends on the horizon for Xbox One.
