Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD Available Today For PlayStation 3

by Kyle Hilliard on Jan 14, 2014 at 02:08 PM

The formerly Vita exclusive Assassin's Creed III Liberation is available on PlayStation 3 as of today.

The HD version of the game has a few changes from the Vita version that released over a year ago. First off, the game drops the roman numerals from its title. On Vita, the game is called Assassin's Creed III Liberation, while the PlayStation 3 version of the game is called Assassin's Creed Liberation HD. Other arguably more worthwhile changes include complete graphical and audio overhauls, new missions, and the ability to use Aveline de Grandpré's whip as both a weapon and tool of navigation.

Our Take
This along with the recent Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow – Mirror Of Fate HD show a trend in mobile games getting upgraded ports to console. This is a trend I like. What I really want though, is the ability to play my 3DS games on my Wii U. Nintendo has done it before with the Super Game Boy for the Super Nintendo, and the Game Boy Advance Player for the GameCube. Both the Wii U and the 3DS have two screens. It seems like something Nintendo could make happen.
