The lights are on
Technically, these Lego building sets are derived from the upcoming The Lego Movie. However, since that movie is getting a game, we’re content to file them under “gamer culture.”
We’ve shared with you the first trailer for the movie and our early look at the game, which has a different feel than past Lego titles. We’ve also given you a look at some of the minifigures from the movie and game, including Emmet, Wyldstyle, and the aptly named “Where’s My Pants” Guy (hint, the pants are in his hand).
Available now are 13 sets ranging in price from $12.99 to $69.99 for Lord Business’ Evil Lair (pictured above) and Rescue Reinforcements. Note that Batman is not yet available as part of one of these sets and those that he’s currently part of aren’t easy to find (unless you are willing to spring for the $160 Arkham Asylum Escape set).
I’m partial to the Super Cycle Chase. Not only is this a scene from the trailer, but it also has my favorite terrified face for Emmet (and he seems to have many).
