Club Nintendo Members Reveal Their Favorite Wii U And 3DS Games Of 2013

by Kyle Hilliard on Dec 28, 2013 at 08:05 AM

Presented in no particular order, Nintendo has revealed, based on Club Nintendo survey, which Wii U and 3DS games were the favorites of its fans this year. Unsurprisingly, many of Nintendo's first-party games are present, but there are a few that broke through the Mario and Zelda barrier.

For Wii U, Club Nintendo members picked The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Super Mario 3D World, Rayman Legends, Pikmin 3, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Runner2: Future of Rhythm Alien, Wonderful 101, Lego City Undercover, and DuckTales Remastered.

For 3DS they picked The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Pokémon X and Y as two separate entries, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Rune Factory 4, and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.

Our Take
Nintendo fans have some good taste in Nintendo games. I'm glad a few other non-Nintendo games made the cut, like Runner2 and Phoenix Wright. I'm surprised Pokémon X & Y took up two slots. It would have been nice to free up an extra slot to highlight something else, like Picross e2!
